STANDARDS DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY

It takes the responsibility for the development, publication and distribution of Czech standards (CSN) in compliance with Act No. 22/1997 Coll., on technical requirements for products and on amendments to some acts, as amended.  

It ensures especially

• The development, publication and distribution of Czech standards, other standards documents and publications related with standardization,

• Co-operation with international and European standards organizations ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC a ETSI,

• Fulfillment of duties and obligations resulting from the  membership in ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC and ETSI,

• Co-operation with other national standards organizations,

• Maintenance of the collection of Czech standards,

• Guidance and co-ordination of activities of Czech technical committees

• Development of Programme of standardization,

• Contractual relations concerning development of Czech standards and is concerned with economical use of financial means from the state budget in this area,

• Preparation of announcements of Czech standards in compliance with Act No. 22/1997 Coll. for their publication in the ÚNMZ Official Journal,

• International meetings of working bodies of international and European standards organizations in the Czech Republic,

• Provision of information on Czech, foreign and international standards and documents,

• Sale of Czech, foreign and international standards and documents.
