Within the framework of development cooperation project the Memorandum of Understanding between the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing and the Institute for standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed in Sarajevo in January 2015.
Within the framework of development cooperation project “Support to the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of application of Eurocodes” between the Czech Republic and Bosnia and Herzegovina, financed by the Czech Development Agency and realized by the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (UNMZ), the Memorandum of Understanding was signed on January 26, 2015 in Sarajevo by, Charge D' Affairs of the Czech Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina Ms Klara Kriegsheim Kadlecova, First deputy president of UNMZ Mr Miroslav Chloupek and director of the Institute for standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr Aleksandar Cincar. The project continues decision of the Czech Republic’s government from the year 2010 whereby Bosnia and Herzegovina has been chosen as one of the five priority countries for development cooperation for the period 2011-2017. In this period, development cooperation will focus on sharing experience and providing assistance in capacity building for implementation of Eurocodes and creation of national annexes. The total value of the project is 9 100 000 CZK incl. co-financing by beneficiary and the project will take place in the years 2015 - 2017.
Within the framework of the project, opening seminar named “Introduction of Eurocodes” was realized on January 27, 2015 in Sarajevo as well. Presentations were held by experts from UNMZ and Building Research Institute of Prague and also experts from relevant institutions of BiH. Seminar was attended by 60 professionals from the areas of state administration, universities and other relevant offices, institutions and companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
