World Metrology Day - 20 May 2024 - Measurement for Sustainability

This year, for the first time, the World Metrology Day is based on the resolution of the UNESCO General Conference declaring 20 May as World Metrology Day. This decision opens up new avenues for promoting metrology in line with UNESCO's mission to build a better world through science and education. Study to support the evaluation of the MID and NAWID Directives

A study is currently underway to assess Directives 2014/31/EU (NAWID) and 2014/32/EU (MID) for their functionality, applicability and timeliness. The study is being carried out for the European Commission by a consortium led by the Centre for Strategy & Evaluation Services LLP (CSES). The outcome of the evaluation and publication of the EC report is expected in August 2024.
