Committee on Technical Barriers to Trade

Committee For technical obstacles shop is one of thirteen separate Committees working within the Council for Goods and shop WTO and was established under Article 13 of the Agreement on EU technical Obstacles shop(TBT), which is an integral part of the Agreement establishing the World shopthe World Trade Organisation (WTO). Committee shall be composed of representatives of each of the Members of the Agreement and shall meet as necessary, at least once a year, but normally three times a year, to enable the Members of the Agreement to consult on any matter relating to the scope and implementation of the Agreement and to carry out the duties conferred on it by this Agreement or by the Members.

The responsibility for the implementation of the Agreement in the Czech Republic belongs to the ÚNMZ, which implies, among other things, the obligation to elaborate, in cooperation with all stakeholders at the national level, and present the views of the Czech Republic on the issues of its implementation and application to the European Commission, which at the negotiations Committee represents each EU country.
