Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of standardisation between the national standardisation bodies of the Czech Republic and the Republic of Korea
On December 8, 2023, the President of the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMZ) and the Director of the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) signed in the presence of other representatives of both institutions and the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Czech Republic Memorandum of Understanding on standardisation. The Memorandum provides a framework for mutual cooperation in specific areas of interest and according to the needs of both parties, focusing in particular on current issues, tasks and challenges of European and international standardisation.
- On behalf of the Czech side the meeting was led by President of ÚNMZ, Mr Viktor Pokorný, together with Director of External Relations and Economy Section, Mr Miroslav Chloupek, and Director of International Relations Department, Ms Jindra Kafková.
Czech Standardization Agency was represented by Director of Standardization Department, Mrs Zdena Slaná, and National Secretary for CENELEC and IEC, Mr Petr Kubeš. - On behalf of the Korean side, the meeting was chaired by Mr Chongwook Chin, Director of the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS), who was accompanied by Mr Park Jong-sup, Mr Chanjong An and Mr. Jun Gyu Park, representatives of the Division of International Cooperation for Standardization of KATS, as well as Taehoon Kim, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Czech Republic.
