PROJECTS CURRENTLY UNDER WAY

The Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMZ) continuously coordinates through its International Relations Department cooperation between the Czech Republic and European as well as non-European countries, which intend to develop mutually beneficial long term cooperative relationship with the Czech Republic in the areas of responsibility of the ÚNMZ, i.e. in standardization, metrology and testing areas. The ÚNMZ so far has established in some areas of its responsibility and within the framework of above mentioned principles the cooperation with Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, China, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The ÚNMZ is currently implementing foreign development cooperation project of the Czech Republic "Strengthening the capacity of the national quality infrastructure for standardization and assessment of construction products in Bosnia and Herzegovina" (DOCX; 30 kB), Twinning project within the Czech-Latvian consortium "Strengthening the institutional capacity of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture (META) of Ukraine in the field of National Quality Infrastructures (NQI)" (DOCX; 36 kB), fully funded by EU funds, and within the "Aid for Trade" program a foreign development cooperation project titled "Supporting the improvement and development of the quality infrastructure sector in Serbia with a view to harmonising industrial product rules and standards with EU regulations " (DOCX; 32 kB).

IMPLEMENTED PROJECTS

In cooperation with central state administration bodies (providing financial envelope for implementation of projects) the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing has realized by its EU and International Relations Unit bilateral as well as multilateral assistance to the Western Balkans countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia) which have been identified by the Czech Government in accordance with the objectives of the Czech Republic foreign policy as priority countries.
